More than a month here..what I can say is sponge will absorb any fluid coming around. Either an orange juice or oil. But we can flush all the fluid anytime we want. Not all of them will flush away, some still remains in the sponge...

I will leave Malaysia this morning. For how long I’m still not sure yet. But the dry-docking will take approx. 1 month .Ya Allah tabahkan hati hambamu ini. Permudahkanlah segala urusan hidupku. Jauhi aku dari segala kemaksiatan. SesungguhNya engkau Tuhan sekalian alam.

Just some information, based on what my manager told me roughly. I’m just a young engineer in this field.

International Marine Contractors Association ( IMCA )

This association provides some code and guidance that we need to follow. Actually all related jobs must follow this rules & guidance from IMCA. There are a few rules & guidance from international organizations related to this field : International Marine Organization (IMO), Association of Diving Contractor (AODC), Det Norsk Veritas (DNV). And the focus more to Air & Sat Spread and Diving Support Vessel (DSV).

Mostly in Petronas, Murphy, and others tender, they will put this IMCA requirement for all equipments and machineries for subsea construction.

Code that focusing on diving in IMCA are :

i) IMCA D014
(IMCA International Code of Practice for Offshore Diving)

ii) IMCA D018

(The Initial and Periodic Examination, Testing and Certification of Diving Plant and Equipment )

iii) IMCA D023

(DESIGN for Surface Oriented (Air) Diving Systems)

iv) IMCA D024

(DESIGN for Saturation (Bell) Diving Systems)

Dialog Group Berhad

Before CNY, I got a call from Dialog HR. She was calling me and asking me to come for job interview. Hmm, just like what my lecturer said, there are other offers when you have started your new job. So, I just told her that I will thinking about it later and give an answer after CNY.After making some research about this company; I found that the company is very stable one. Listed in main board of KLSE in trading&services division. Their main business is a service provider/specialist in oil&gas, petrochemical industry.

Here some info ;

After CNY, I have called back her and told that I need to go for dry-docking in Singapore at least 1 month. So, can they wait for 1 month? After she had some discussions about this problem with her manager, and she said that they will wait for me after the dry-docking.

Alhamdullilah, I was thinking that the company really needs me? Why?

The reasons are :

i ) I have applied the job application through their website about October 2008. They still kept my CV until today.
ii ) They can wait until I finished my job in Singapore just for an interview? Why not they just call for other candidates?

Just my 2 cents. Btw, I’m not confirmed yet that will get the offered job. Just feelin really excited right now. InsyaAllah dapatlah.
